After posting online some photos taken in Defiance,
friends and acquaintances suggested in 2012 that I design a photobook
they could purchase for themselves and give as gifts.
I tested the
waters, and there seemed to be solid interest. So, I decided to pull out
numerous archival photography disks, and search through them for images I
thought might be enjoyable, memorable and interesting. What's
inside ... I selected a
wide cross-section of photographs, designed to present not only noteable landmarks, but also to unveil commonplace
details which may go unnoticed in our usual passing through Defiance.
Well, more than 150 copies of the book have been sent out across the U.S.! Most images
emerged from trips back home to Defiance across the past 40 years, with a
few that pre-date even that! Now there's a new cover photo and several updates inside from the book originally printed in 2012. About the
book ... This photo book
measures 11.25 x 8.75 inches, and contains 32 pages under a glossy laminated
hardcover. I chose this particular publisher in part because of the thick,
bright white archival paper used. Preview
